Renews

Your website, looked after.

An annual agreement, not a project. It renews with your year, and there’s nothing to remember.

Who this is for

Most sites aren’t broken. They’re unowned. The person who built it moved on, the person who updates it has another job, and so it drifts. A form quietly stops sending. A certificate expires on a Saturday. Nobody is sure who has the login.

If that’s your site, the problem isn’t a redesign. It’s that nobody owns it.

What you get

Content updates, as often as you need them.

Send the change. We make it. No ticket count and no monthly allowance to run out.

Repairs without a separate quote.

When something breaks, fixing it is already covered. You never have to work out whether a problem is worth reporting.

Everything that expires, handled.

Hosting, domains, certificates and renewals, dealt with before they become urgent rather than after.

Backups and monitoring you never think about.

Running quietly underneath. You hear from us when something needs you, and not otherwise.

New pages and documents checked before they go up.

So the site doesn’t slide back into being unusable for part of your audience between one redesign and the next.

A quarterly summary.

What changed, what needs attention, and what we’d do next. In writing, whether or not anything went wrong.

How it works

You send the request however is easiest. Most people text or email, and either is fine. We come back the same business day and tell you when it’ll be done, which matters more than a promise about how fast.

The quarterly summary is the only scheduled thing. Everything else happens when you need it, which is the point.

The same person, all year. Nothing gets handed to a junior team after we shake hands, and the person who reads your email is the person who does the work.

What this won’t fix

Webmaster keeps a site healthy. It won’t make a bad site good.

If the structure is wrong, if people can’t find what they came for, if the whole thing was built for a business you don’t run any more, then looking after it faithfully just keeps the problem in excellent condition.

That’s a rebuild, and there’s a way to pay for one further down this page. We’d rather say so on the first call than take a year of your money keeping something alive that was never working.

How it’s priced

Against the size of the site and how much it changes. Quoted for a year, billed monthly, with no setup fee and no hourly billing. The number is the number: a busier month doesn’t produce a bigger invoice.

We don’t publish rate cards, because the honest answer depends on what’s already there. One call is usually enough for us to tell you the size.

Need the whole thing rebuilt?

A rebuild is a big number to find all at once. Most people put it off a year. Some put it off three.

So we do it the other way round.

  1. 01
We build the new site now.

Not when you’ve saved up for it.

  2. 02
You pay monthly over a fixed term.

Webmaster is included the whole time.

  3. 03
When the term ends, the rate drops.

The build is paid for, so you stop paying for it. Nothing to renegotiate.

It adds up to more than paying once. We’d rather tell you that now than have you work it out later.

What you get for it is the site this year, and someone looking after it the whole way.

How projects run

For public entities

The shape that fits a council, a district or a county

An annual agreement that renews with the fiscal year. A written scope you can attach to a purchase order. No escalators and no early termination penalty.

It’s also usually the easiest way to fund a rebuild. A monthly line gets approved where a one off cost has to survive a budget round.

Questions

What if we barely change the site?

Then you aren’t paying for changes. You’re paying so the certificate doesn’t expire, the backups keep running, and somebody still has the logins when you need them.

That’s a smaller job and it’s priced like one. If you don’t need even that yet, we’ll tell you.

What happens if we leave?

You take everything. The code, the accounts, the domain, the content. Always, including if you leave.

Ready to hand it over?

Tell us what needs doing and we’ll come back with what we’d look at first.
